Samsung SGH-A707 Sync Cell Phone -- How do I take an mp3 I like and make it my ringtone?

I think I obligation to somehow change the file type? C-Net Reviews claims that I can cook up an mp3 be a ringtone with this phone, but doesn't say how. It stays in audio, as provided it is just a song I do! wnloaded to listen to on my call. I have already cropped the mp3 on my machine, and then moved it to my cell ring w/the USB, however it refuses to appear in my ringtones folder on the phone.

Cell phones!?!? I can find reviews that state all the features, etc. but none say anthing about longevity!?

His happened a while ago, mine just a few weeks, on the other hand why won't they last the total 2 years? We hold Verizon and retain to wait that long to get any discount on inexperienced phones. My brother just bought one, and I was playing with it a couple of days ago. 3MP camera is alright for just that, a VGA sort camera.
